2014 - 2016 The Years of Event Media Partnerships

We were delighted to be be able to offer event media partnerships with a wide variety of events from 2014 including conferences, festivals and awards.  This has brought awareness of the up and coming events to our network, and continues to bring awareness of MGD to a wider audience.

2013 - The Year of the PEA-ples Favourite Award

We created and sponsored 'The PEA-ple's Favourite Award' specifically for The PEA Awards in 2013, to honour the highest voted for eco-ethical company delivering the best environmental practice in the eyes of the voters.  So rather than being judged by a panel of experts, we asked the general public to vote for your favourite.  There were three different voting stages - from nominations, to email votes, and finally to a Twitter Voting Round (designed for us by Tweet#hashCount) to find the overal winner.

The 2013 Top 10 PEA-ple’s Favourite finalists were Black Sheep Inn, Daisy Green Magazine, Indica, Jurys Inn Brighton, Mi Naturals, Organic Holidays, Permaculture Magazine, Po-Zu, The Nappy Lady and Zaytoun.

The Winner was Daisy Green Magazine, with Permaculture Magazine a very close second and Zaytoun in third place.  Suzanne Whelan from Daisy Green Magazine was at The PEA Awards (held at the Patagonia Store in London) to accept the award presented by MGD and Phauldut Sharma from EastEnders.

2012 - The Year of the MGD Paperback in The Guardian

In 2012 we produced a different style paperback that was distributed in The Guardian's Saturday Supplement, with the aim to gently guide those that are beginning to explore the possibilities of new greener consumer choices, and to help those that have already made the switch.  This had endorsements from Kevin McCloud, Channel 4's Grand Designs guru and Caroline Lucas, the first leader of The Green Party.

Other distributors included Permaculture Magazine (In WHSmith & Waitrose), The Eden Project, Planet Organic stores in London, Suma Wholefoods to their network of independent healthfood stores, EcoVillage Events, MamaPacks, Bricks and Bread Sustainable Living Centre, GreenFinder, Daisy Green Magazine and GREEN Mag.  Flick through the pages, save your own digital copy and make sure you let our advertisers know you found them in my green directory!
