Durham-based ‘Conscious Elegance Ltd.’ has completed its third new collection in as many years.
Designer and director Lori Del Genis said, ‘All of our designs are made to show how fabulous an eco-friendly gown can be. But our new collection includes coats, wraps and coordinating attire for the groomsmen. We want to offer options to the entire wedding party.’
The new gown designs include trendy features like ruffled underskirts and contrasting crumbcatchers. CE is also glad to change small details like adding straps or adjusting a train at no added cost.
Lori says, ‘Besides creating the Perfect Dress, CE is all about sustainability; we only use materials that are organic or eco-supportive. Our dresses look every bit as good as those conventional dresses made overseas. Ours are just better for the world.’
Conscious Elegance also offers its eco-friendly fabric by the metre. ‘Some people are amazed at how utterly gorgeous the hemp/silk blends are. And making your own gown can result in substantial savings. Everyone should have the dress that they want; we’re happy to help even if we aren’t doing the sewing.’
